When operating any radio controlled model aircraft MAAC members will adhere to the following:

1. I will complete a successful radio range check before the first flight of the day

2. I will not fly my model aircraft in the presence of spectators until I become qualified or 

    am assisted by an experienced R/C pilot.

3. I will perform my initial turn after take off away from the pit spectator and parking areas.

4. I will not fly in any manner over a pit, spectator or parking area.

5. I will not fly on the pilot side of the flight line.

6. I will not fly an aircraft without visual contact.

7. I will not knowingly fly within 4 km of another club’s flying site without a frequency

    sharing agreement.

8. WHEN FLYING AT THE WINDY WEST R/C CLUB FIELD I will adhere to this club’s 

    specific safety rules.  In addition, when flying, I will post my current MAAC membership

    card on the frequency board on the appropriate frequency.
